News and Information

IBC welcomes Elizabeth Simoens from South Bay Ballet to
Bakersfield. She has received a grant to choreograph on our
company. She will set a beautiful piece that will be presented at
our annual Spring Company Show. We look forward to this
exciting collaboration!

Congratulations to Alicia Angelini, one of our Principal dancers,
who won the Monticello Award at last year's RDA Festival with
her dance Remembrances. She was awarded a scholarship to
the Craft of Choreography Festival in Washington, where she was
presented with the Choreography Connection sponsorship to
choreograph on an RDA member company somewhere in the
United States. We are very proud of you!
